Supervised visitation across Las Cruces and the Mesilla Valley
Las Cruces is New Mexico's second-largest city — the hub of the Mesilla Valley, home to New Mexico State University, and the seat of Doña Ana County. Families here are spread from the East Mesa and Sonoma Ranch out to Picacho Hills, Mesilla, and the valley communities along the Rio Grande. When a court orders supervised visitation, that spread matters — providers who work from a single fixed office push drive time and cost onto whichever parent lives farthest away.
TruVisit New Mexico does it differently. Our supervisors meet families at mutually convenient public locations across the Las Cruces area, chosen with the child's comfort and the court order's safety conditions in mind. We don't charge mileage. We don't charge travel time.
Las Cruces areas we regularly serve
- Downtown Las Cruces — including the Plaza de Las Cruces area
- University district — the neighborhoods around NMSU
- East Mesa — the growing neighborhoods east of I-25
- Sonoma Ranch & the Las Cruces foothills — toward the Organ Mountains
- Picacho Hills — west of the river
- Town of Mesilla — the historic plaza district
- Doña Ana & Radium Springs — north along the valley
- Vado, Berino, and Anthony — the south valley corridor
Common Las Cruces meet-up locations
Locations are selected case-by-case based on the court order, the child's age, and what makes sense for the visit. Public, family-appropriate venues we use regularly:
- Young Park — one of the city's most popular family parks
- Plaza de Las Cruces and the Downtown area
- Thomas Branigan Memorial Library (indoor option)
- City parks on the East Mesa and near the University district
- Mesilla Plaza and the surrounding family-friendly area
- Family-appropriate restaurants throughout Las Cruces
Mesilla Valley summers run hot. From June through September we lean toward shaded or indoor venues for the child's comfort and to avoid heat-safety issues that compromise visit quality.
